James Attew

Solicitor at Brethertons

Banbury, United Kingdom

About Me

I am a solicitor in the Commercial Recoveries and Possession department based in our Banbury office. Since qualifying as a solicitor in 2012, I have gained valuable experience managing a varied litigation caseload, encompassing a broad range of civil and commercial matters. At Brethertons, a main focus of my role is in recovering monies that are owed to clients. Whether you are an individual or a business, if someone owes you money, I will advise you on the range of options that are available and make sure we find the right solution for you. I act in claims on behalf of owners for the return of their goods that have been loaned out under contract, for example where the person in possession of those goods has defaulted on the terms of that contract. I also have particular expertise acting for landlords in claims for recovering possession of residential property. If you are a landlord and wish to recover your property from your tenant, I can support and guide you through every step of the process needed to achieve this efficiently. Outside of work, I am a sport fanatic and particularly enjoy both playing and watching rugby union (I am a big supporter of Harlequins RFC), cricket and football. I also like to read, to travel and I am very interested in history.
